Meet Artist, Brain Tumor Survivor, Richi García

On November 29, 2011, Richi, originally from Spain, was diagnosed with high-risk medulloblastoma—a highly aggressive childhood brain tumor. In pursuit of the best possible care, his family relocated to the United States for treatment at Boston Children's Hospital | Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where they now reside.

Richi has courageously undergone 26 surgeries, along with radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Now 18, he continues to confront a wide range of neurocognitive, physical, and psychological side effects from his treatments. His resilience and determination are the driving force behind the Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation.
